New assistant at Colorado

Jim Jabir of Providence College has stepped down as head coach - read it here (http://friars.fansonly.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/042302aaa.html). Apparently he will be taking an assistant coach position at Colorado.

You beat me to it! Nobody had posted it yet and I was about to, but I got a phone call that lasted 10 minutes before I could post, and when it was done you had already posted. :P

This certainly is a surprise for three reasons:

1) It's been about ten seasons since CU has had a male coach,

2) Almost all his experience is on the east coach and

3) He resigned a head coaching position.

It appears CU may attempt to expand their recruiting area to include the Northeast.
