I can't stand the WNBA and their schedule. I live in LA. I just checked the Sparks schedule and this season I won't get to see Cleveland and Charlotte play in LA. Meaning I won't get to see Sheila Lambert play.
Last year the Sparks played Orlando, Charlotte, and Cleveland home and home. But only Indiana and Miami came to LA. Detroit, Washington, and NY didn't even come to LA for a game. That is stupid. You have some good players on each of those teams. For LA fans not to see Holdsclaw or Spoon once a year is a terrible way to market the WNBA.
There are only 16 teams in the WNBA. Why can't they have the Eastern and Western Conferences play home and home. That would be 16 games. Then have maybe 4 games against the other 7 teams in your conference and that would make 28 games. Making it a 44 game schedule. Sure you would have to extend the season but I'm sure teams owners and cities who's taxpayers paid for some of these new arena's would be happy to have games being held into Sept.
Maybe I should be grateful that I do live in a city that has a wnba team. Unlike many fans of the Big 12. But I would like to see some of the great players who up till now I've only seen on TV. I should also be grateful to finally getting a chance to see Stacy Dales since Washington does come to LA. and most of the other Big 12 players were drafted by Western Conference teams. Plus I get to see Mandy play again. So that will be nice. Anyway good luck to the Big 12 players as they move on to their pro careers.
