BASKETBALL

Fry visits UT

BranDee Fry, a two-time All-State girls basketball player from Moss Point, Miss., last week made an official recruiting visit to the University of Texas, her father said.

Texas has one remaining scholarship for next year's class and is hoping to address a need at center. The 6-foot-4-inch Fry averaged 12.8 points, 15.4 rebounds, 7.4 blocked shots and 4.3 assists as a senior, and led Moss Point to the state quarterfinals.

Thanks grojc. I was surprised to read this as I had the impression Texas was not going to sign anyone in the Spring. We can certainly use the size if the player is good.
