Freshmen Brie Madden and Kendra Wecker have already posted provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA outdoor track and field championships, with Madden qualifying in the high jump (5' 10.5") and Wecker in the javelin (160' 5"). This is even though they were late in joining the track team, having been occupied with other responsibilities until recently. Both currently rank among the top five freshmen nationally in their events.
