The player of the year is a freshman for class 5A Putnam City West. The 5-foot-10 forward averaged 22.9 points and 14.7 rebounds. Gant ran the floor, averaged 2.7 steals and more than a block per game.

The rest of the team includes 3 Jrs. and a Sr. who has committed to Marquette.
Also, 6'2 Jr. Shanda Murdoch of Westmoore (and teammate of OU recruit Erin Higgins) has committed to K-State. I wasn't aware of this. The other 2 juniors list OU, Colorado, and others.
