Ashley Paris should have gone to Cal. And maybe she still could. The Bears are a productive small forward away from being a Final Four contender, and Paris is nothing more than her sister Courtney's No.1 fan in Oklahoma. The door is open to come home and shine again, Ashley.

I READ in Dave Del Grande's column how Ashley Paris could "shine again" on Cal's team.
Be assured, the goals of the current team and staff include the Final Four without Ashley. I support them as I do all local girls/women's programs with hope of continued growth. Depicting her as "nothing more than her sister Courtney's No. 1 fan" is far from the truth.
She excels academically, athletically, fully supports her teammates and serves in the community.
I miss them dearly, but it's the best "miss" I've ever experienced. Ashley is doing just fine at Oklahoma, Final Four or not. She plays basketball; basketball does not "play" her.
Blessed to have her as my daughter,
