Whoa that's a surprise. The Lynx were down a center after the pregnancy of Vannesa Hayden. I did not expect Smith to be cut with barely time for a cup of coffee. Megan Duffy was in a numbers crunch at guard and that one is pretty understandable to me. More than likely at least two more guards will be cut. Good luck to both Duffy and Smith in catching on with another team.

I think the Comets may wind up with the most Big XII players on-roster.
I really wish Cisti could find a spot in US women's b-ball.
Has the WNBL gone the way of the ABL?

Monarchs Announce 2007 Roster
By the Sacramento Monarchs: May 17, 2007
Roster Features 13 Players; 10 Returning and Three New Additions

So, that Monarchs announcement includes this:
Returning to Sacramento for another season are...[lengthy list of all-stars and first-round draft picks]...and free agent, Brittany Wilkins.
And so in this ultra-competitive season, Iowa State's only WNBA player -- an undrafted free agent! -- hangs on to her roster spot. And who could have predicted this two years ago??
