Very interesting article. I've seen this new coach in action. She's very solid along the sidelines and I think she could be an asset to Oklahoma State.
But the one issue I don't think people are discussing is institutional support. Oklahoma State has always been reactionary when it comes to athletics, a sort of a follow the herd mentality.
When Dick Halterman was doing well, the school never stepped up a committment, now they wish to step up, but will they step up again when the new administration is bearing fruit? When they be patient in this first two years if Goodenough has a 5-22 year?
Given OSU's past decisions in athletics, I will say they have a short plank for the good lady Goodenough to walk on.

You can have the best coach in the world, but if the school isn't on board, you are fighting uphill. That's why Jim Foster left Vanderbilt for Ohio State.
When you have solid human capital and the school's willing to put things together to the best of their ability, you get Oklahoma, Iowa State, Texas, Texas Tech, Colorado, and now you can add Baylor and Kansas State to that list
When your human capital and your resources are sometimey you get Oklahoma State, Missouri, Texas A&M,
Good resources and poor human capital is Nebraska's problem
Kansas has neither.

How can you say Vandy didn't support women's basketball? Check their website and see the renovations and other things they have done for the women's program. IMO Foster left Vandy because since Vandy is a private school it's harder to raise money than a public school. Plus the academic standards may have kept him from signing a couple players Foster really wanted. Ohio St. has tons and tons of money. Ohio St has average academics. Foster will be moving into a less competitive conference. He could really make a splash with all the resources he'll have at OSU.

thanks for info, mandy......I didn't know Vandy was a private school. Can't say as I blame Foster, having lived under the Summitt shadow all these years.
