did she panic?

I know that the Minnesota athletic programs are facing the possibility of dreadful sanctions, even the death penalty (Oh dear God, let's not go through this again!)

But why would Brenda leave the Big 10 for a pitiful conference like the ACC? If you want to argue against my post, then first post the conference attendance figures. You aren't likely to get much support...

So why go from Gopherville to Tar "Hell" land?

What is the benefit? Does anyone else think that Brenda might have panicked? Or is she just looking to put her "stamp" on a program?

Right now, I don't have a clue, but I sure wouldn't have gone to ACC never-land!

I very much agree with you: going from a basketball-crazy Minnesota that has come to enthusiastically embrace its newly successful women's basketball team, to a conference where even the #4 team in the country can't draw a decent crowd, raises a lot of huge questions. This was a surprising move for a lot of reasons, and I find it very unsettling to say the least.

There's a lot more to be said about this, but I think I'll leave it at that.

I like the ideas this guy had about players transfering if their coach leaves and having contracts with a four year minimum
