Tech beat UT-Arlington in Lubbock 64-49 in December.

UTA's Thompson was a teammate of Alesha Robertson and Chelsi Welch at Plainview.

The A&M radio guys keep pointing out that Ashley Bobb was a transfer to UTA from Tech. She was a walkon at Tech who didn't get to play.

And regarding UT-Arlington, maybe you can tell me how many times that they've been upset by lower-seeded teams? Because if they haven't, then there never was any "choke" in the first place. Teams that are seeded significantly below their opponents in the NCAA tournament are EXPECTED to lose. Losing is not a choke in those occasions, simply a better team winning a game they were expected to win.

Good grief, I understand you want to support the Big 12, but your lips must be so red from that much Koolaid I doubt you'll need to wear lipstick for the next week! Yes, A&M got their first ever NCAA win, squeaking out a win over the 13 seed that required UTA to miss about 20 shots in a row and giving up over 20 offensive boards. Wow, yeah, that's a huge achievement, definitely a marquee moment for the Big 12. :p

The game I saw showed that UT-Arlington gave it their best shot, but Texas A&M defense did what they had to do to win in the second half. I doubt you'd give Texas A&M much credit if they played a perfect game, after all they are a "thug" team. ;)

As far as supporting the conference. Yes, I do support the league and as my record as a member here shows, I call it like I see it.

It was shaky, but Texas A&M advances. Congrats to TAMU, Iowa State and Oklahoma. :)

lol, you really are trying, I'll give you credit for that... if/when A&M ever plays a perfect game, sure I'll give them credit for that (and then go drown my sorrows in a nice bottle of vodka, lol!!!)... something tells me my liver doesn't have much to worry about... as for A&M being a "thug" team, so is UTA, so that was pretty much a wash... by the way, I agree with you, ISU and OU had nice games (that is they didn't choke YCN) :) let's hope Nebraska can say the same, I'm looking forward to the Duke/Husker matchup!

Nebraska is definitely good enough for fans to expect a Duke matchup, but whether they will play that way or not remains to be seen... the question is really which Nebraska team shows up...

Speaking of Temple, am I the only person who heard Lisa Leslie (who is crappy by the way) at the end of the A&M/UTA game say that she thought Dawn Staley would be Jody's replacement?

Several times during the game of "the battle of Texas", Leslie brought up Jody and the new vacancy, but her cohort was silent (which led me to believe he knows absolutely nothing about Texas or the Big 12).

In the last 6 game we haven't played like that. Temple isn't a pushover, they are a team that will present some problems.

I think we'll beat Temple, but it will be a tough game.
