WNBA Headed for Colorado in 2008?

It was annouced today that Dave King, the owner of Triple Crown Sports and the WNBL Colorado Chill is pursuing WNBA franchise for Colorado. King has already secured two thirds of the required $15,000,000 WNBA franchise fee. The WNBA has already authorized King the use of the Colorado Chill name, mascot, and team colors.

It did not take very long. The Colorado Chill website has been activated by Triple Crown Sports.
