A recent article stated there are 40 coaching jobs open. It seems that Ohio State is serious. Comments on this board indicate that our OSU isn't. Minn. is open, leaving a fertile recruiting field for a neighboring state. NU hired a new assistant, Jim Seward, who last month resigned as men's head coach at the University of Central Oklahoma, an NCAA Division II school. Any one know anything about him? Kelly Kebe, assistant at ISU is looking. You have to expect assistants from successful schools will attract attention. Wouldn't Stacy Hansmeyer be a catch? Any good rumors?

I haven't heard anything about Stacey and I think she probably needs another year or two under a head coach before venturing off
to be the "head" coach.

Suspect though that OU may lose Bo Overton, if not to Oklahoma State....to someone else. I read at one point that Bo was on a list for the Florida vacancy. From an article I read about Jan Ross, OU's other assistant.....I think she will always be with Sherri.

Thanks for the welcome swok34. I live in LA and not only did I see Colorado, Oklahoma St, Iowa St, and Neb in person this season; but Fox Sports always showed a Big 12 game on Sat and/or Sun. So I got to see the quality of the Big 12.

OhMandy, are you a Colorado fan?........I'm guessing due to your name.

Always nice to see folks from outside the Big XII area rooting for the Big XII; actually we'll take any fans anywhere http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Welcome OhMandy! Could you perhaps be an Arizona fan? That guess is due to your e-mail addy. You win the prize if you can guess my team. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/wink.gif Glad to have anyone who is a true fan of WBB. We even like Bark and he is a UConn fan. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I'm a fan of women's basketball. My favorite team is Stanford, thus the name on my email, Jennifer Azzi. But I'm not a "homer" for Stanford or with the Pac-10. But I figured since this is a Big 12 board, I'd better get a Big 12 name. I met the Colorado team after the game at UCLA and they were great. Especially Mandy. So thus the name. I was rooting for Stanford in the Sweet 16 but I knew if Colorado stayed close they would win the game. Anyway whoever you root for tell your coach to schedule more games out in California. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I would love to see more games between Big twelve teams and Stanford esp. KSU. We actually had a pretty good SOS going into the conference play, (low 20's) but I think some more good quality competition would be good for all concerned. KSU beating Grambling State 105-54 did not do a whole lot of good for anybody.

UCSB also would be an interesting game for any of us. I would also love to see either of those teams in Manhattan KS. The purple palace would be rocking. My ideas on schedualing would not do too much for KSU's won-loss record but it would be fun and educational. (if we didn't kill the players)

ksuron.......I would suspect that Deb schedules a lot differently this year than last. Sure didn't want to throw those young'uns out into the firepit.

Though I don't know what commitment's they had previously that need to be honored; I would guess she would go after scheduling some "Top 25" talent if possible.
