View Full Version : Goring chooses, and Big XII fans rejoice!
...because they won't be facing her 1-3 times per year. Goring reportedly has chosen UConn, and it'll be officially announced soon.
Oh, well.

I was afraid of that and she would have been a good one for ISU.

She thanked the people of Iowa for her wonderful time here. Yeah why don't thank us by playing for our team. I got the funny feeling we were used

What's the scoop on Nina? Is she even in school?

Wherever Gillian goes, she'll be great. "Used" gimme a break here.
Typical Iowa State Cryclone.

Yes. Coach Fennelly says he isn't counting on her coming back to the team but he hopes she does. It's all a matter of getting her academics in order. Popular opinion is that it's a 50-50 chance, although my gut feeling is that she'll be back.
I don't think there's anything wrong with what Goring did. She wasn't even considering ISU before she came to Iowa. Too bad she didn't pick a Big 10 school: we could expect her to transfer to ISU in a year or two. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

OK, maybe "used" shouldn't be used in this situation. With the quality of education in the state of Iowa, Goring probably got cheated. I heard she still had some requirements to fill to be eligible for the beginning of the 2002-2003 season

Inside I should be feeling like http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/frown.gif because the Big XII (and ISU) missed out on a really great recruit, but as a Red Raider fan I am feeling like http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/biggrin.gif right now because I know the LR won't have to go up against her for four years. Sorry ISU...

It's funny that Chipper is always calling us "cryclones" when all he does is bash his team and coach. It's also funny that people get angry when people get personal with their commentaries in regard to players, yet Chipper will nickname Nebraska players in unflattering ways, and no one says anything.
