For those of you who are wondering, no I haven't stopped following Tech or running RaiderPower.com. I just needed a break. The Pierson thing really hacked me off. Add that to grad school and life in general, and it was more stress than I wanted. So I am just backing off posting on RP. Its my site, so it isn't as if I can just up and leave totally. I am just not going to post there for a while, maybe forever. Its supposed to be fun after all. I might come back under a new name without the admin tag. That seems to throw some people off.

I am in Houston for now...OU played in San Antonio, so I went to see them play. They played at SMU, and my sister lives in Dallas, so I went to see them play there. Went to see them in Norman Saturday. I have also seen UT play a few times. You guys know I just love basketball in general. Tech is still my favorite, but I really respect and enjoy several teams.

I will be in Lubbock on Sunday to see Tech play - looking forward to it. I'll be there the 29th as well for Vandy. I will make several Big 12 games in Lubbock, too. Anyway, just wanted to make sure you Tech folks knew the deal.

Thanks for letting us know what's goin on. It's completely understandable. You're right, it should be fun and some people just get out of control on these boards. I wish you the best of luck!

Phew! That's a relief!

Thanks for providing some clarity. Sorry if I jumped off into the deep with my assumptions. I just have that Texas Tech fan complex... you know what I mean.... that when we have really good people, they up and leave because the grass in our West Texas backyard doesn't always look so green compared to the other side of the fence.

Amanda, you are good people and deserve a little fun so, gosh a mighty, get out there and let loose.

That is great that you have had a chance to see a lot of Big 12 basketball. I'm jealous.

You can run, but you can't hide. Glad to see that smiling face of yours again. Give me a holler some time. I keep the slack tight on anybody over at RP you direct me towards.

Take care.

**To clarify - the REACTION to the Pierson thing hacked me off. You all know I hate it when people who don't know what they are talking about talk anyway!**

Also - thanks for the concern about me. I appreciate it.

cow - you know where to find me. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Thanks for trying to keep the slack pulled tight. You know better than I do who has a little too much slack these days.

Amanda, have you had a chance to go to any of the LR practices since the Rice game? I'm just curious as to how things are running now as they have more time to adjust without PP.

Press, no I haven't. I am in Houston these days, and I haven't even seen the team play in person much less watch a practice. I will shoot a couple of e-mails to some people and see what they have to say about practice.

Yeah...the whole "the world has come to an end" teed me off too. I trust Coach Sharp and I also trust the team and the sense on campus is that Coach Sharp showed her usual guts in dealing with a tough situation. The talk among the students and other campus folks is that the team was fully supportive of Coach Sharp's decision.

I thought they played much better against their last opponent...the chemistry seemed to start clicking and I'm looking forward to Southern Miss who usually has a competitive team.

There is a nice article about Jia in the latest issue of WBJ!
