Voepel (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/wbasketball/ncaatourney02/story?page=voepel_0323) continues her support for the Big 12
Texas Tech coach Marsha Sharp, one of the classiest of class acts, gave a great answer last year to one of the billion questions we in the full-time Big 12 media have asked about the Final Four. She said that whoever was the first from the conference to make it, everyone else in the league should be really happy for them.
I do think the Big 12 was the toughest league to play in night in and night out this past season. Connecticut's Sue Bird, when asked about the Big 12, said she thought it was probably the most balanced top to bottom and that it would have been fun for her to play in such a league -- if she had a second career, that is. (Too bad they can't arrange that; we'd love to watch her for four years here in the Midwest.)
