Come on Cats, calm down and run some offense! We're all cheering on here in the Czech Republic.

I really wish I could see this game... it sounds atrocious so far. Turnovers out the wazoo, defense sounds terrible, and now Wecker has 3 fouls. Not looking good.

sni, I'm flipping back between this game and the Texas game. Old Dominion is incredibly athletic and Kansas State is playing very young.
I think that is one thing some people forget about, that KSU is such a young team. ODU is a bunch of veterans, and their team will downslide somewhat next year in all probability.
This is a valuable experience for these youngsters about giving your all when the chips are on the table.
My prediction is that they will respond tremendously next year.
We'll see...

We are still very proud of the Kansas State women. We just came out too tentative on both offense and defense and we paid the price. For whatever reason we never did make a good effort at stopping the ODU inside game. Way too passive.
Lets hope they take away the positive learning experience from the game and build on this great run for next year. Congratulations to the coaches and team for all the great moments of the season.
Congratulations also to Texas for their fine season. GO BIG XII! Go ODU beat UConn!

I hope you are having a good experience snizave. The Wildcats will be back and we want you back in new and improved form too.
I am so fond of the young Cats.
They will be immensely better next year - I guarantee it!

Sigh. Farewell, Wildcats. See you next year. Of course I only saw a little of this game because I was watching the Texas game (ugly though it was) but it seems pretty clear that the Wildcats were overwhelmed early and never got in the game.
Well now I'll be rooting for ODU to beat UConn.
I'm guessing KSU looked as bad on TV as they did in person...
KSU wasn't hitting its shots. They weren't playing defense. They committed a lot of turnovers. Basically, they looked like ISU looks when they are struggling. KSU was never in this game.
Well, it was a super run this year by the KSU ladies. Congratulations on a fine season with even bigger things in the future. Pity they couldn't have produced a performance like they did against Texas at the Big XII tourney.

ODU is for real, I know most people thought my Boilermakers were overrated after we barely lost to them. That reminds me of a couple of years ago when Purdue lost Oklahoma in the second round and people thought the same, it turned out Oklahoma was that good and they have been that way for 2 years now. I think the committte had its worst seeding this year, How could you give ODU a 7 seed? IMHO ODU and OU are the only two teams in the tournament that have proven to be capable of beating Uconn so far.
I didn't see many KSU games this year so I can't comment on their perfomance against ODU, I know Purdue struggled against them because of lack of strong post presence which isn't a problem with KSU because of Ohlde who impressed me with her sportsmanship at the end of the game. Goodluck next year!

Just being in the Sweet Sixteen was beyond ANYONE's expectations for this young team. Proud of them for just hanging in there in what had to be a frustrating, overwhelming game against a team that was very experienced and probably under-rated and under-seeded.
They were overwhelmed, have absolutely no experience at this level.
They will be a very, very dangerous Big XII team next year, book it.

How many put KSU as #1 in conference next year? I do.
I'm getting way ahead of myself, but.....here's my top 4 for next season in the Big 12.
2002-2003 Season
1) KSU
2) TTU
3) UT
4) OU

Schooner, that's exactly what I've thought about the top four.
KSU definitely will be the team to beat--we'll see how they handle being the ones everyone is after rather than the other way around.

I would definately say that KSU is the team to beat for next season, and I am glad Tech gets them in Lubbock next season as well. I don't think that the conference will be as close as it has been the past 3 years in terms of more than three teams fighting for 1st place. Where as in the past three years it seems that there have been 5-6 teams playing for 1st.

Congratulations to the young KSU team on a great season and the collection of the "seasoning" it will take to go even farther next year!!
