Well, this will be different.

I've lived in Colorado over 13 years and I don't recall getting back to back big snow storms since I've been here. But after last weeks biggie blizzard, its snowing again today and they are forecasting anywhere from 6 inches to a couple of feet, depending on where you are and who you listen to.

We live in the foothills outside of Boulder and had trouble getting home in last weeks storm ... because of the cars on the road in front of us getting stuck.... we have good winter tires and 4 wheel drive .... but a bunch of others must have forgotten that it is winter since they seemed to be driving with summer tires.

Since todays storm started with rain and then turned to snow, the bottom layer will be ice. So we are staying home ..... first time I will be listening to a CU WBB home game on the radio since I started following them a bunch of years back. And I did just see where they are providing a live web cast on cubuffs.com for free tonight. So I might have to check that out.

Both Kara Richards and Aija Putnina are suppossed to be back in action tonight, according to the article in todays paper. I just hope they aren't coming back too soon and that they don't over-do things.

Thanks for the info BeBe! Looks like a lot had to stay home tonight as it looks like from the video that there might be around 25-30 fans in the stands!

Final score CU won 76-61.

According to the stats on the CU web page, attendance was 587. If true, that was pretty darn good considering how ugly the weather has been here today and considering that CU's average crowd is only around 2000.

I know in the webcast, you couldn't see anywhere near that many people but most of the fans usually sit on the side you couldn't see. So maybe they really had that many.

Maybe someone on the board was there and can chime in.

BeBe, was Whitney Houston sick or something? I was hoping to get to see her play but she never set foot on the Coors Event Center floor even after KMM emptied her bench the last few minutes of the game.

During the game, someone mentioned that Whitney Houston had arrived late. I'm not sure whether it meant she returned from TN later than expected or she missed a team practice or function, but it sounded as if the punishment was to miss playing time in a game. Either way, I'm sure the team will be on time the rest of the season.

587 sounds pretty generous to me...I was there and I would have guessed maybe 300 to 350 at best. There were so few people there that I was able to move from my normal seat ('bout the middle of section 8) down to row 6 just a bit off of center court. The endcourt and corner sections were pretty much empty. There was also another team (Biola) in the stands sitting in section 9. They were scheduled to play in a tournament at CSM and they needed a place to practice, so CU let them use the Events Center after the game. I wonder if they counted Biola in the attendance figures?

As far as the game went, I think it was the most complete game that this team put together since the Vanderbilt game. I just hope that they can keep the momentum going as we head into the Big-12 schedule.
