Arizona at Utah on tv on the mtn - at the half UofA 33 Utah 32
Playing for UofA is Marie McGee from Las Cruces (NM) Mayfield. She was the young woman stabbed 15 times by her sister Carissa (also a basketball player) last year. Carissa is still being evaluated for competency to stand trial.

Not where Ican be watching-how does Utah look. They had a rough start with a young team. I don't think Maria played against UNM-good to hear she's back on the court.

Utah won 66-60
3 players fouled out for UofA - evidently, they've got a couple players out with injuries again. So, it left them pretty short.
Utah looked ok...a lot of playing time for Filipe and Warburton and Whipple. Neither team was very smooth and if UofA lost players to fouls, they may have won the game. I wasn't impressed with either team. But Utah seems pretty young and they seem to have gotten into a better groove. I think their next game is against Stanford.
Iowa State should be approaching the top 20 in the RPI tomorrow, with their 10-point win over Minnesota, 67-57.
Nebraska routed Michigan 87-47, and will get a much-needed RPI boost tomorrow.
I expected Colorado to lose to Oregon, but the final score of 70-60 was closer than expected considering the problems they are having right now.
Oklahoma State was my #1 pick to lose among the unbeaten teams today, and they did, losing on a sneakily-good Arkansas State team's home court. Still, OSU is vastly improved this year, and their RPI might actually climb with this loss.
327 down, 8 to go... (one team will go unbeaten, of course... ;)
All in all, in spite of a couple of setbacks, I think it's been a pretty good day for Big 12 basketball.

Michigan State with a closer than anticipated win over Hartford 58-45. An amazing display of three point shooting for both teams. Hartford hit 1 for 18, MSU was Ohhhhhh for 12.
