Texas has finished beating up on Texas PanAm, and now we can start talking about Duke.

Erika had 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting (5 of 7 on 3 pt attempts). She also had 6 assists (4 to) and a steal. Ashley Lindsey had a much needed good night. She had 15 points on 7 of 9 shooting, 5 rebounds, and 6 blocks.

I wasn’t able to go to the game. In a pre-game interview, the Texas PanAm coach said that her team would be playing a 2/3 zone. That plus the presence of Carla on the floor apparently helped Erika have a good night.

Several players were out for one thing and another. Earnie Williams was held out. I hope that was just more caution and that EW will be available for the Duke game.

According to the after game interview with Coach Conradt, Earnie Williams, Katrina Robinson, and Crystal Boyd were held out to rest them for Duke. She said she wanted optimum minutes from Earnie against Duke, and Crystal and Katrina have little, nagging injuries that Coach Conradt wanted to make sure wouldn't flare up on Sunday. They should all be good to go. :)
