Saturday's Daily Oklahoman mentioned some more things the Sooners are doing today to help prepare for tonight's game. The coaches feel their roles now are more like cruise directors than coaches. They are trying to keep the girls loose and their minds on fun non-basketball related things until game time approaches.
First thing they have done is pass out potatos to each player and then periodically distribute various things they can use to adorn their potato. They will recognize the player that produces the most creative looking potato when the leave to return to Oklahoma.
Another thing they are doing today is visiting a local mall or malls in Boise. Not to shop. Instead they will have cameras in hand to play a scavenger hunt game. Hopefully they will have some fun and be mentally as well as physically fresh heading into tonight's matchup.

I seem to recall that it was the Connecticut 2000 championship team that had a scavenger hunt in the hotel prior to some of their NCAA tourney games......lots of coverage in this morning's paper. Will link on the front page.

On the Soonersports.com wbb page, there is a an article with quotes and such, including the following one. Who is Coach Coale talking about? Never heard the name...
Stefanie Lewis
She's a philosophy/chemistry major. That should tell you all you need to know about her. She's a tough little kid that we recruited for her toughness. Everything she touched turned to a winner. We felt that was a valuable attribute to add to our to our bunch. She is an extremely intelligent child...she's pretty sharp, a lot of fun, adds an element of intelligent wit to our bus rides. She's a sharp girl. She gets it and has been invaluable. The white team had their best practice of the year, and I appreciate that. It's because of them that we are here. She has accepted her role and embraced it.
I think the Sooners will have a "refuse to lose" attitude hanging around their necks like a medal today.
There is NO WAY they are going to accept a loss in this game!
Having said that, if Tech did win, It wouldn't shock me, because nothing shocks me in basketball anymore. Shocked? No. Very VERY sad - yes.
Go Sooners! Go grab the prize!
Jennifer, I believe the player Coach Coale is referring to is Stephanie Luce.
Her bio can be found here: http://soonersports.fansonly.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/luce_stephanie00.html

Wonder if the coaches are even going to let them know the results of the game? or the OU men's outcome?
Maybe the men's outcome. (Since were ARE going to win!)
BTW, the house is packed with over 18,000 people in San Jose, and the speculation was that a small crowd would show up, since the left-coasters are gone.
Imagine THAT!
I'm officially psyched! I love basketball!
