Texas looks horrible against Duke. Ball handling is terrible. Can't (or won't) shoot from outside and forces inside. I'm gonna watch KSU for a while but they aren't off to a great start either. Let's turn this stuff around!!
Considering that Texas was down 24-8 with well less than 10 minutes gone in the game, being down by 12 at halftime - in an incredibly low-scoring game - is not all that bad.
I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what Coach Conradt says to her players at the half! I bet some of it might just be a little bit "blue".

No doubt! THe fact they are only down by 12 shows they could win this game if they find a little offense and hold onto the ball. I couldn't believe the Horns "only" had 12 to's with a few minutes left in the half. It seemed like 20. Let's hope both team get untracked!
It's as awkward-looking a Sweet Sixteen game as I've seen in some time. Neither team looks even close to being in sync.
If Texas is the first one to work out of that funk, I like their chances to compete.
But I vividly remember "Black Saturday" last year, and am particularly happy that Coach Coale has instituted a "no TV" policy for today.
We'll turn it around somewhere, sometime today. Let's hope it's sooner rather than later.

Clearly, the most athletic and quicker teams are prevailing.
I see that Texas is making a run...
and the charge just called was the worst I've seen in my life.

Well, it's not looking good for either team now. Texas doesn't have enough time without a 3 point shot, and KSU is getting throttled. We will get at least one team in the final 8, but with CU being the underdog against Stanford, it would be disappointing to only have one team in the final eight. I hope last year is not repeating itself...I agree, I'm glad our girls aren't watching this funk.

Yikes...Texas had it within 3, but Duke went on a run. Even though at one point Duke was shooting below 30% in the 2nd half, they never seemed to lose their composure. Texas never seemed to be able to keep their composure down the stetch. Stephens and Schreiber seemed to play a little young today. But good experience for these two, they will be a force to be reckoned with again.
KSU...really playing young today especially on the defensive end....but what a team they're going to have next year. We've all fallen in love with these young 'Cats...I hate seeing them lose this game.

I should wish we had a big12 team playing in Ames. I would prefer the Cyclones of course but find it really hard to get behind any of the team that are in Ames.

Senior leadership, strong guard play seems to be the tickets.
Few of the Texas players have played at this level, and NONE of the Kansas State players have. That leaves everyone with experience in Idaho.......together.
I'm rooting for Colorado, even the more....they have both strong guard play and senior leadership.
