I've taken the past couple of days to update all player information and statistical information for Interactive Stats (http://hoopscoop.net/big12wbb/stats.cgi?url=http://hoopscoop.net/big12wbb/istats.html).

For those new to Interactive Stats, you can examine statistical information on a team by team basis or all teams at the same time. Or you can compare 2, 3, 4, etc. teams together at a time. Stats can be listed in a season boxscore format (averages per games played) or in a averages per 40 minutes played. You can sort by player classification (Fr., Soph., JR, SR, and Newcomers). And you can sort by Guards, Forwards, or Posts.

And then finally you can sort by particular statistical fields like games played, games started, minutes, minutes averaged, field goals, field goals made (same for 3-pointers), free throws, free throws made, offensive, defensive, and total rebounds, fouls, foul outs, assists, turnovers, steals, blocked shots, total points, points per game, points per 40 minutes played, and Hoopla! points.

Hoopla! points refers to the game we started last year call Hoopla!. The Hoopla! point formula is as follows:

Hoopla Points = total points scored + total rebounds + assists + steals + blocked shots - turnovers - missed field goals - missed free throws.

For more information on the Hoopla! game, go to the Hoopla! discussion board.

Enjoy Interactive Stats. They are updated - meaning they include all games up through Nebraska's game with Cincinnati last night. If you have any questions/comments, don't hesistate to hollar.

To make Interactive Stats as accurate as possible (and because it will benefit our Hoopla! game) I ask that everyone take some time and check the list of players in Interactive Stats. Primarily, do I have their position listed correctly? Sometimes I feel we should modify what is listed on official university web pages. For instance, Stacey Dales is listed as a guard on soonersports.com. But clearly, Dales also plays a lot at forward. So Dales will be listed as a F/G combo in Interactive Stats. This is the kind of changes that need to be made NOW. So please look at the team you follow and suggest any changes that need to be made. Thanks!

AS I posted on the hoopla board, I think the ISU positions are correct. Some are debatable, but I think that the positions listed there are as good as any.

KSU lists Nicole Ohlde as a forward. Obviously she is either a post or a post/forward. She does do some things that you might not have a pure post do, but I still think that "Post" is how she should be listed. The rest of the crew is probably ok as they are listed.

I'll put Ohlde down as a P/F. She can then be considered as either by how stats are sorted and within the Hoopla! game.
