A much better game for the Longhorns.
The effort was more consistent. The defense was good throughout. Oral Roberts who has been shooting over 50% shot 34.8% for the game. The offense started slow but warmed up. The Longhorns shot over 50% in both halves and finished at 51.8%. Tiffany scored 21 points. Six other Longhorn players had between 8 and 11 points.
As we move into the season, rotations become more clear. Conradt played a much smaller rotation today. 7 players saw double digits.Starters - Cortijo, Arriaran, Bailey, Williams, Jackson. Ashley Lindsey played 18 minutes off the bench and B Raven played 21.
Oral Roberts plays well. They have some size and strength. They have shooters and use screens well. Texas made it very hard for the Golden Eagles to get decent shots. Unfortunately for the Golden Eagles, they had no answer for Texas' overall athleticism (speed, quickness, strength, elevation). Numerous times, Texas was able to turn defense into quick offense.
