Dabbs is a probable starter tonite...suffered a slight hamstring pull the other nite. Griffin is out with her ailing knee. Look for a 4 guard lineup (unless Dabbs is pulled) with Myrick, Robertson (at the 4), Dabbs, Baughman, Murphree.

Look for Flowers to see some major minutes. Tawanna's one of my favorites, a kid who sat out 2 seasons, hung in there and makes a difference.

At 5-10, Flowers is undersized as a power forward, but she has overcome her stature with quickness and pesky defense. "I'm usually counted on for my rebounding and defense, but I'm going to have to step up on offense," Flowers said. "Darrice was a great scorer, so I'll have to try and provide some points, too."

Tech was up by 17 with 5ish to go and UTSA has gone on a 16-2 run and cut the lead to 6!!! Where has our intensity gone? Edwards went out, T Griffin went out and so did our intensity.

Come on Lady Raiders....

58-52 Tech with 3:28 to play

Tech wins 66-58...Dabbs with a couple of FTs at the end.

Murphree with 17 fgs, 8 rebounds, 4 assists
Dabbs with 15
Baughman with 15
Myrick with 13 rebounds

There were about 18 minutes there that looked like Lady Raider basketball...but the rest, well I'll put it down to 1st game nerves

Thank goodness for Jordan Murphree!!!

Thank goodness for Jordan Murphree my left hind foot. Thank goodness for Brooke Baughman and Erin Myrick and Chesley Dabbs, thank you very much.

Alesha Robertson had IV fluids at the hospital earlier today.

The intensity sure isn't Raquel Christian. I don't know what Tiny Henderson did to get in the doghouse, but I hope she gets out soon. We need her on the floor; her D and leaping ability would've pulled down two or three of those turnovers Murphree or Myrick swatted out of UTSA hands that Christian just watched roll out of bounds or into Roadrunner recoveries.

Augh. Freshmen.

Teddy Griffin and Tawanna Flowers can play some defense. Flowers' rebounding moves sure were reminiscent of LTD tonight.

Thank goodness for Jordan Murphree my left hind foot.Baughman and Dabbs are seniors. Myrick is a junior.

Murphree was a true freshman in her first official game. She outplayed each of those three, and you are going to really need her this season. My left hind foot says says so.

I wasn't impressed with Tiny's minutes when she was in the game. I do agree about Christian..she lofted some dumb shots and at time really disrupted "our" offense and defense.
