Well, I've read on the ESPN board about how the big 12 was set up so they could *finally* get a Final Four Team, and how they didn't deserve 7 home seeds, etc etc.
So, we all know they are a bunch of Big 12 haters over there and that's just the way they think. Of course they're going to gripe and whine about the Big 12 no matter what.
Now someone from the wbball-l says this:
ODU and LaTech should have been hosting IMO. It seems like the whole bracket was set up to ensure that a Big 12 team finally makes it to the Final 4. Somehow, though, I have my doubts. Oklahoma seems to be a lock, but if they must play Stanford, then all bets are off the table. Texas will not beat Duke, and Kansas State will have enough trouble with ODU, let alone UConn.
Interestingly enough, despite the committee's attempt to deny the Final 4 of 2 SEC teams, it still could happen. I'd be very surprised if neither Vanderbilt or Tennessee makes it, and South Carolina is a legitimate threat.
I'm sick and tired of all this BS. First people gripe about the conference being overrated and such. Then 7 teams go out and earn a home berth, and now there's something wrong with that?
And furthermore, there's all this whining about how wrong it is for TN and Vandy to be in the same regional, yet TT, CU, and OU being in the same reason is a set-up to help the Big 12!
I think I'm going to stay off of any other board from here on out and just keep my mouth shut. I'm sick of all this crap.
Now our teams just have to go out and take care of business and shut everyone up themselves (of course, the BTH Club will still find something to gripe about).
I also read the opinion that Uconn 'throttled OU' in December, and would beat them even worse now, yet Villanova gave all OU they could handle the other night.
Let's go Big 12, kick sometail end of those other teams!
Oh yeah-and the great record we have vs. the SEC really means nothing because we would have lost most of those games on a neutral court. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/mad.gif
