Based on possible field of study, I'd say Missouri has the inside track..one of the best J-Schools in the nation.

Either way she turns, she has some good places on the short list, plus it sounds like she has some good people behind her.

Its a very hard decision to make.

I saw her at Late Night and seen her at both games this season, I think she's gonna pick the Jayhawks.

Her verbal is pending tonight. That leaves only Melissa Jones among the top players to commit, at least among those that we know are eligible to sign tomorrow.

Jones is between Baylor and Colorado State.

Unconfirmed reports on the boards that Melissa Jones has committed to Baylor. Hopefully it's true and confirmed soon so i can relax a bit tonight. :)

Glad to have you join the Lady Bears, Melissa! You're gonna look great in green and gold (or whatever color uni they decide to put on ;) ).

Going for quality instead of quantity, Baylor women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey is expected to add two players today when the national fall signing period begins.

The Lady Bears picked a commitment last November from 5-foot-8 point guard Kelli Griffin from Houston Clear Brook High School and recently added a pledge from highly touted shooting guard Melissa Jones from Broomfield, Colo.

“When I came down to visit, I just fell in love with everything,” said Jones, a 5-11 guard who’s ranked 13th in the nation by scout.com and 36th by All Star Girls Report despite limited experience on the AAU level. “There’s not a negative thing to say, other than just leaving home to play.”

Jones is a two-time all-state pick at Legacy High School who averaged 20.6 points per game last season. Griffin is a three-time district MVP and first-team all-state last year at Clear Brook, but she’s expected to miss her senior season after suffering a torn ACL in her knee in May.

http://www.wacotrib.com/sports/content/sports/college/2006/11/08/11082006wacladybearssign.htmlIt's a shame about that ACL tear, but there's lots of time for Griffin to rehab that knee before she takes the court for Baylor. :)

It's a shame about that ACL tear, but there's lots of time for Griffin to rehab that knee before she takes the court for Baylor. :)Baylor really got a good one in Jones. She is more than two-time All-State, she's been All-Colorado twice.

She's extremely talented and a great shooter. She'll transition well into Big 12 play. Her ball handling is good enough that she could play point in this conference, but will clearly be more effective on the wing.
