lol, bark......

Please make creamed corn out of the Penn State bunch....there are few teams that I really, really dislike, but Rene Portland teams top the list......

my Vandy pick to be in the final four looks a little "far-fetched".....now I'm starting to think Tennessee with be there. I really don't see BYU putting out the fire.

Well UConn's on a mission, so I'd expect much of the same from them. Historically, a single threat team (Mazzante) has not given them too much trouble, but you never know. At the risk of looking ahead, KSU is much more of a threat.

BTW, what's bad about Portland/PSU?

I also think that your Vandy pick is pretty safe for at least one more round. Tenn ... hard to tell. On paper, BYU, should get creamed, but with the carousel line up that Summitt uses, it's hard to get a fix on that team on a given night. And if BYU starts by hitting their 3's ... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

Yes, OU's record against the Sweet 16 is very impressive. Dare I say it indicates the possibility of a National Championship? If they get there, I sure will be pulling for them, unless somehow they are playing the Longhorns of course.

Don't care for Portland's team policies, and I didn't even know about the "snitching" stuff until I read the info on the Connecticut board.......plus I really don't like colored mouth pieces.....and those blue ones really stuck out when Darling was there.

I kinda think that three games on Saturday will be particularly interesting. All three involve Big XII, and a Big XII sweep would be great!

Duke-Texas
Kansas State-ODU
Colorado-Stanford

My question all year on Duke is whether they can handle a power post team. Stephen 'n company is all of that.

KSU is suppose to be a young inexperience team. Will the expectional, aggressive athleticism of ODU in timidate them? They seem pretty fearless to me. And if they can withstand ODU, then a possible match up with UConn could get really interesting.

Colorado, I don't know much about, but I never liked Stanford, so if half of what I've read this week is true -- that CU is well-coached, has a quick/fast team, and has good shooters -- maybe Stanford will finally meet a good team after two months. And Stanford will lose!

http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif that would put 4 Big XII teams in the Elite 8! Go 'horns, 'cats, buffs!!!

ps Suppose the BYU/TN game will be interesting too, only 'cause of the UConn/Tn thing, ya know.

Swok, have you seen the orange mouth piece that Snow uses on TN? Reminds me when I ate orange slices as a 5 year-old.

I was really impressed with Kansas State the other night vs Arkansas. The Big XII learned to go at them with a physical defense, but Arkansas plays a very physical agressive man defense and they really did handle it well. I saw one play where Ohlde ran the entire length of the floor and made a layup.....Ohlde is their 6'-4 post player......now, that was impressive.

I haven't seen ODU play, I was watching the Minnesota/North Carolina game before I left for OU's game. Don't know how they match up with Kansas State....

I think the Colorado/Stanford game will be the best, as they both match-up well, IMO.....

Duke/Texas, all depends on which Texas team shows up and Texas sports 6'-1 guards who can shoot the 3...that will be an interesting matchup.

It is physically impossible to watch all 8 ballgames, there are some that overlap in the day, maybe even some in the evening.
Could always start watching 2 tv's... http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I know absolutely nothing about South Carolina, how do they match up with Drake?

I rarely watch Tennessee play......

I did watch the Vandy game back when they beat Tennessee, didn't watch much of the Notre Dame blowout.

but, you are right......what kind of mouthpiece does Nicole Powell wear, it looks half red and half ?clear....

I missed the Drake/BU game and haven't seen them this year. And I've only seen South Carolina once when Geter was playing slightly injured, so dunno.

ODU is a super strong, athletic team, and they have good size. But they don't handle the ball and shoot too well. With their rebounding though, they get a lot of second-chance shots. I think that they are one of the few teams that outrebounded UConn.

Which Texas team? Of course, it will be the one that beat Tenn!!!

Colorado/Stanford? I hope speed burns cardinal.

Portland's policies? That's too serious a topic for me. I'm in this for the yuks. Besides in my household women's rights are very liberal -- It's my turn to cook for my wife. We've got a 50/50 split http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Got to go, I think my pot is boiling over, yikes! Plus on the seventh day of the week, I have to pay the restaurant bill.
