It seems to me the Iowa State attendance numbers are really low. I would have figured 9,000- 10,000. Hilton was full except the balconies on each end. And by watching the Texas and Colorado games on TV their houses looked empty, the end zone seats were mighty empty.

Opinions?

What's the deal with UConn? Their home arena must only seat that many because I can't imagine it not being sold out. But like others, I'm shocked about Tenn and disappointed in others.

Yes, UCONN holds just over 10000. Its either 10,100 or 10,200. And yes, Tennessee holds over 25000, so they never have an excuse for not leading the nation in attendance.

Wasn't there some talk of UConn buliding a bigger place?

UConn holds some of their games at another arena that holds 16,294 at least.....that was the attendance of OU's game in Connecticut this year and it was played at the "other" arena.

I don't know how they decide what games to hold where and they may not be allowed by the NCAA to use this other location...

I suspect UConn could sell 30,000 tickets, given that now in order to attend a Connecticut game, you have to promise your first born and I think a right arm http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

You're right about the NCAA not "letting" UCONN use the bigger arena because I remember reading or hearing that a host team must use a court that they have played a certain percentage of their games on. I assume that UCONN used their campus arena more than the bigger one.
