While the majority of Sooner fans on the male-dominated general Sooner boards are all but discounting any chance for Texas Tech to defeat Oklahoma, I would hope that no Sooner fan on this board suffers from that kind of delusion.

Tech scared me to death.

They are playing their best ball ever as a team at exactly the right time, and the buck stops here for both teams.

Of course, OU is also playing their best ball. This game has the potential to be the game of the tournament, and I believe that whichever team wins the game will have to take their game to another - even higher - level to win.

Geez, just when you thought this thing was going to be easy, you get another hungry Big XII team, in Boise, in the wee hours of the evening.

I'll be able to hold my head up proud for my Sooners win or lose, because once again we are just SO close to grabbing that prize. This is really when we find out what teams are made of at the end of the year. Poise and purpose above all other things mean everything this time of year. One of these teams will provide evidence in spades of both.

I love this tournament, but it is both the best and the saddest of times. (read Baylor and Iowa State)

And that ultimately is what makes this sporting event so great.

I've already stated several times that the only team I would rather not face besides Texas Tech and Colorado is UCONN. I would rather play any of the other 12 teams than those 3.

Tech actually played a good game in Norman - last game of the regular season. If they had been on that night and shot a decent field goal percentage (they had open looks), they would have had a shot to win the game. Tech definitely scares me.

I hate like hell we are having to play the big 12 again so quickly. It reminds me of 1988 at the final 4. WHen KU was playing Duke in the semifinals before OU played AZ, an OU fan asked why I wasn't cheering for KU. Two reasons. One, they would not cheer for us in the second game against AZ, and they DIDN'T. Two, I would have rather played a duke team which had not played against us that year because our guards were so quick, it was a real advantage for a team to have played us at least once.

Similarily, I think it would be an advantage for a big 12 team that has played us several times because they know what they are up against in playing against our guards and can prepare better.

Same thing back at you. We all have immense respect for OU and the job they've done this year and having a Big12 team as a #1 seed. Now I really hate that we're all together in the West...although this way we have a 75% chance of getting a team to the Final Four.I do believe that OU can beat UConn if they play their best..so I want OU to get to the final four...I'd just rather not have them go through Tech (again) to do it.

In some ways we are all (the coaches and players agree) relishing the thought of a) getting another crack at OU and b)and then if we could beat OU...getting another crack at CU (that one really hurt...to lose in OT here in Lubbock).

Tech showed in the game here in Lubbock that they can play with OU as long they don't let them get 20something pts ahead http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif and they've really impressed me with their play this past week.

OU and Dales are on a mission...and it will be mighty hard to stop that mission.

I want a barnburner taken into OT and if that happens I won't be disppointed.

Of course I hope that CU stomps Stanford.
