I've mentioned the style of game that Villanova plays (boring for those who missed a couple of my posts). And most of you know about UConn, but the other remaining Big East team, Notre Dame, may deliver an interesting game against Tennessee. Since they're in the Midwest, ISU bracket, you might want to tune in tonight if you're favorite Big XII team isn't playing.

ND is very well coached and has an improving, but very young team.

Defensively, man defense is their staple, but they're capable of switching and playing good zone defenses as needed. Overall team speed is good. Rebounding is better than average.

Offensively, Ratay is a great 3-point shooter and this year has learned how to effectively create her own shots. She doesn't drive too much, but can pull up and take a 10-15 jumper very well. Batteast is a freshman and is playing with a gimpy knee, but if she can gut it out she is capable of giving Tennessee all that they can handle. She can do everything and will be one of the best Big East players soon.

They match up well with Tennessee both in terms of athleticism and (since this is not the summitt) I think coaching-wise too. Muffet McGraw is a lot like Sherri Coale, Kim M-R, and Deb Patterson in terms of preparation, motivation, and in-game acumen. This could be an upset. Lots depends on how Battest is feeling and if Ratay is hot.

If Notre Dame would pull the upset and win. If ISU and Vandy would win then the Midwest Regional would have 3 team that played last year. Last Year ISU played Vandy & Notre Dame played Utah. I wonder how many times has happened.

Just took a quick view of the summitt. There's uncertainty if Snow will play tonight. She didn't play Friday, as she was sick and suspended (for missing a class and not telling the team staff).

What does this mean? I have no idea, but the carousel starting line-up at TN continues.

I'm hoping for a little luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day myself! GO IRISH!

Tennesse is looking like a team on a mission. Not even the green uniforms can help the Irish tonight!
