University of Oklahoma women's basketball coach Sherri Coale announced today the hiring of Guy Austin as the director of women's basketball operations. The Seminole native left his job as director of sales and marketing with Oklahoma City's Ford Center and Cox Convention Center to pursue the new venture with O-U.

Austin replaces Dr. Bill Pink, who left the program at the end of June to take a position with the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation.

Bill didn't let on at all a couple of weeks ago at a Fastbreak get-together.
