Local Alcorn signee in limbo

Thursday's news that Alcorn State women's basketball program was banned from postseason play for one-year and placed on three years probation after being found guilty of several NCAA violations has one Acadiana area family concerned.

Henry Sr. and Veronica Dennis, who are the parents of former Franklin Lady Hornets standout and Braves signee Angel Dennis, would like answers to their questions before their daughter leaves for school in August.

... "I didn't know any of this was going on," said Angel, who first learned of the violations and penalties when contacted for comment. "I'm concerned about all of it, because I didn't know."
