ISU vs BYU

I was positively shocked at the BYU/Florida score when we arrived at half time! It looks to me like Iowa State will be playing a mirror image of itself on Monday night. The only thing that BYU seems to be lacking is someone to match up with Welle. Otherwise, they have some height on the perimeter, and it looked like 3 or 4 or them could hit the three.

The put on a clinic against Florida. They were cutting and screening and passing very efficiently. It reminder me of watching the Princeton men's team.

ISU should tread carefully. I believe they have their hands full, especially if BYU is shooting over 50% like they did last night.

By they way, the post game radio said that BYU can not practice or play on Sunday. I assume that watching film is acceptable. Certainly an unfortunate disadvantage, but I admire their convictions!

OU played BYU two years ago in the 1st round at Purdue and that was a really great game......OU was a 5 seed playing BYU a 12 seed.

OU pulled it out, but it was a close game throughout.

UT played BYU in its opener and was down by 14 within the first ten minutes. But BYU cooled off, Texas defense got its act together and then Texas starting draining three's. Unfortunately, that was not a sign of what was to become (the draining three's). Long story short - ISU has the same skills to handle them. I am cautiously optimistic that ISU will sail through although BYU will make some runs.
