My wife and I went to the Silver Stars game last Friday night and had a wonderful time. We watched the game from a sky box type of seat with comfortable seating and great snacks. The Stars should have won, but that is a different story.
We should have bought t-shirts at the AT&T Center, because that is the only place in town that sells them!!!!! Can you believe that! We searched high and low on Saturday all around San Antonio for t-shirts. Some people didn't even know who the Silver Stars were. They thought we were talking about the Dallas Cowboys. There was a slight language barrier sometimes. One expert that ran a t-shirt shop on the Rivercity mall said that no one was licensed to sell the Silver Stars merchandise except the AT&T Center in San Antonio. There was Spurs stuff EVERYWHERE! How does the WNBA expect to expand the fan base if they won't let retailers sell the WNBA products??!!!! Needless to say, I was not very happy. Guess I will just have to make another game and get a shirt then. :confused:
