How have ticket sales been going at the first round sites. Yesterday they announced that KSU had sold over 10,000 all session tickets. Bramlage capacity is 13,500.

From what I've heard, ISU ticket sales are probably about even with KSU (maybe a bit higher). Hilton capacity is just over 14,000.

I think the Lady Bears are just about sold out. It should be sold out---if it isn't already---by tipoff, for both 1st and 2nd round games.

Good luck to all Big XII teams tonight! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I heard last night that OU had 1200 left, capacity about 12,000 now with the additional seating.

All session tickets at Tech are going for $25. What is the price at the other locations? I thought I saw ISU was $20.

Tech has had what I consider a disappointing response. Only 7,000 all session tickets were sold through Thursday. The USA holds 15,000

Not sure what the reasons are. The students are all on spring break this week but I doubt that affects it. The men play in Chicago in the two hours preceding the women's game so that shouldn't hold too many people up. Tech fans are spoiled and some consider a #4 seed and #17 poll ranking to be a *down* year (that is a bunch of crock so I hope that isn't a reason).

OU's are $20 for Adults and $15 for Children.

Surely Tech can do better than that? Maybe people are just waiting around till the last minute.

KSU prices were $20 for chairbacks, $15 for bench, and I believe $10 for students.

I noticed in the paper that the tickets OU has sold are "all-session"........

individual game-day session tickets will be sold on game day ONLY if any available.....Individual game ticket $15/adults; $10 students/children.

No announcement from Texas except that the university 'hopes' to have about 8,000 fans at the game. That is about the number of fans who purchased tickets the last time Texas hosted in 1997.

BTW, NCAA rules prevent the schools from selling single game tickets until game day. All advance sales must be session tickets.

Tickets at Texas are only $17.00 for the whole session, all three games.

Like I said in the chat last night, the people around here are making the excuse that they want to watch the men's game at 6:50, but the women's game isn't until 9:30 which would give people 40 minutes between the games. TTU is even offering for people to go the U.S.A. and watch the men's game on a big screen. Now, I would much rather watch the men's game with other die hard fans than sit at home with 2 or 3 other people. Again, like I said, people are "spoiled" with the winning ways of the LR and have to find an excuse just to not come to the game. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/rolleyes.gif Well, at least I and 6,999 other fans will be able to experience great teams playing great basketball.

I just initiated an internet purchase for tickets at Lloyd Noble Center in order to see where the current "best available" seats are located.

Right now the best seats are in Section N, Row O. Those are nosebleed seats at the top of the arena directly behind the north end goal.

Must be just about a sellout right now, couldn't be more than a few hundred seats remaining at most.

As of yesterday morning when I picked up my tickets (ordered before selection Sunday) there were seats left only in the ends and above the lower level. The low level ends fill up first! It always happens at Bramlage and I don't understand it. They have to be the worst seats in the house. On the other hand the ISU people seemed to sit in a group behind the basket low down in the end of Muni in KC. It must be another in the long list of things I don't understand.

One of the impediments to ticket sales is that NONE were mailed out including mine that were ordered two weeks ago. You have to go to Manhattan, show your ID and pick them up personally. Not exactlly a convienience for folks like me who had to get the tickets early so that I could get them in several other people's hands. Not all KSU fans live in Manhattan for goodness sakes! Ah well, I'm looking forward to a good game and the interest level is very high here. I hope we get close to a sell out.

Well, for tonights game Tech is looking at around 8000 which is not up to their standards at all. The newest excuse is that the game is tooooo late (9:30). Go cry me a river!

Tonight's okc news stations said less than 600 tickets remain for OU games. They will sell out tomorrow, I'm sure.

This is easy to explain. When we send in ticket orders to the University, those are the seats they assign to us. We have no choice in the matter.

fortunately, my season tickets are in a "fan zone", so I got my same seats that I always sit in; LE4. I know a lot of fans and parents sit in LE5 and they wouldn't be able to obtain those tickets as the NCAA requires "reservation" for one of the teams for that section.

Seems schooner mentioned that he was on the other side of the arena and that maybe why, schooner.......I know the NCAA requires that 4 sections at OU be reserved for "parents and visiting fans"....and then Saturday, 2 of those sections will probably open up if the fans of the losing teams turn in their tickets. LE5, I believe is for OU's parents and "passes". Then the NCAA blocks off a section for "corporate" sponsors, and they will usually allow folks to sit there 15 minutes prior to the game. This is what I recall from last year; I believe I also heard that OU is only selling reserved seating, no GA at all......thank god, that was a nightmare last year.

Seeding is a big influence, not only on the court, but in fan seating, travel, hotel........the better the seed, the better the teams gets the best in all these areas.

You have a WAY better view of the court in Muni from the general admission seats. I also was assigned poor reserved seats in my order through K-State. Those reserved seats were a waste of money. We only used one of them once. The rest of the time we sat in general admission seats or better empty reserved seats where we could see the court much better.

Nah, it's cuz I waited too late to order tickets for my regular season seats. My fault.

KSURon,
I ordered my tickets through ticket master in November the last 2 years and had great reserved seating. Loge 10, row 1, mid court.

I remember that you or somebody else had recommended this very early in the season. I ignored it, to my regret, and now I can't make amends for at least three years.

Yup, you are so right. Lesson learned. Also I found the "Psyclone" seating chart of Muni to be much better than ticketmasters chart. I think all this shows is that the ISU fans, like their team, are experienced veterans. Please cut us newbies some slack. We will catch on eventually.

Next year I think all the Northern Teams will be newbies. Hopefully the nice, friendly, helpfull Southern teams will be thoughtfully hosts and show us the tricks to good tickets. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

I bought my Municipal tickets in early January, and I had "fair" seats, certainly better than the reserved seats obtained through OU.
I was upper level, but only a couple of rows up at center court.

I didn't know you could buy Big 12 tourney tickets in November.
