Minnesota Lynx forward Nicole Ohlde scored 18 points to help the U.S. women's team rout a Hungarian All-Star squad 93-67 on Wednesday night
"I got some nice passes from my teammates that let me make some good layups," Ohlde said. "People were moving the ball."
Houston star Sheryl Swoopes added 17 points for the United States, and Detroit's Katie Smith had 16. Krisztina Papp led the Hungarian team with 17 points.
"They really showed why they're the Hungarian All-Star team in the fourth quarter when they finally settled down and ran good offense," U.S. coach Anne Donovan said.
"We didn't play exceptionally well in the fourth quarter, giving up 22 points. We didn't start the game exceptionally well, we didn't end the game exceptionally well, so as a coach that frustrates me. But I remind myself that we've only been together five or six days and with everyday we're getting better."
The United States will complete its three-game European tour -- the second stage in evaluations for the world championships in September in Brazil -- on Friday night against MiZo Pecsi in Pecs, Hungary. The Americans opened the tour with an 87-66 victory over the EuroLeague's USO Mondeville Basket on Monday night in Mondeville, France.
