One day after she scored 33 points in a rout of UCLA on Feb. 24, Lindsey Yamasaki was in the emergency room at Stanford Medical Center, about to undergo an appendectomy that would sideline her indefinitely.
A great season for Stanford and for its leading scorer suddenly was in jeopardy.
``I think I had about a minute pity party for myself, upset that I wasn't going to play in the Pac-10 tournament,'' Yamasaki said. ``But I've always known that I was going to be back for the tournament.''
She was right. Yamasaki, a 6-foot-1 senior, will be back on the Maples Pavilion floor Saturday night when Stanford plays Weber State in the first round of the NCAA tournament
What does everyone think?......Will she be up to par after being out for about 3 weeks? (not even sure it's been that long).
