Why is Geno complaining? He's not in our region. Maybe he's scared that he will meet up with us in the San Antonio.

Only one word describes Geno Auriemma at this point

Candypants

The man is sounding like Tara Vanderveer now.

This Husker will cheer for Iowa State. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif

ISU fans...your reputation as the 6th player is obviously well known in wbb land.

Has Jim Foster been complaining about a possible trip to Ames...no.

Now, even more than before, I hope ISU gets Tennessee and whips their natural-born behinds!!!!!

Obviously, being the best doesn't always breed class!!!

It seems to be an "odd" situation that the women's tournament committee will need to address in the very near future. I must agree with Geno and Pat that playing all games on your home court is, to say the least, an unfair advantage. Yet Tennessee has had that opportunity, as has Connecticut. That, however, does not make it fair. If women's basketball is to progress, we need to address situations of this sort and change the rules, if need be. Perhaps, the Iowa State's, Tennessee's, and Connecticut's of the future should be "sent elsewhere" for the sub-regional and earn their way back to the "home court."

As for now, however, the rules state that the top 16 teams host sub-regionals. Iowa State meets that criteria, so the rules were followed. But in fairness to teams in the future, we might want to address these types of "situations," before they occur again.

I wish the Cyclones the best of luck in the tournament. I hope you win your regional, but I fear that, should you win, the "homecourt" advantage will "haunt" you in the media, as well as with opponents and and opposing coaches.

You have not heard anything about Vandy staff complaining about the ISU home court. In the event that they play TN, that translates into a few thousand ISU fans that can borrower some black and gold from our Hawkeye neighbors!

I posted once before that I really respect Pat Summit, but can't believe the things she and Gino are saying in the press. I can't imagine coach Bill needs any better bulletin board material should the TN matchup take place. "This team doesn't think you deserve to be here."

AH HA! The true motive of Geno's maddness...

Keep on talking to keep St. Pat riled and jabbering so that Bill has enough bulletin board material, motivate ISU to a new level, and have the dreaded Vols knocked-offed. Clever, that Geno!
