This San Antonio writer has 3 Big 12 teams and Uconn.

Hmmmmm...
Serious intimidation factor possible here? Three Big 12 teams in the Alamodome?
I like it!
Very interesting article!!! I agree with almost everything she is predicting. I have my brackets filled completely out with predictions. I picked the same first-round upsets with her, with the exception of La Tech. I wouldn't be surprised to see UCSB win that game, but don't want to jinx my 'Horns so I didn't pick that upset. Also, I have picked Georgia to upset Purdue and Kansas State to make the Mideast Regional Final. I see Tennessee over Vandy (although I hope I'm wrong and ISU knocks off the Lady Vols) in the Midwest Regional Final with Minnesota knocking off UNC in the second round to make that region's semis. In the East finals I see Baylor squeaking past Duke - - although I feel if Duke plays their best they are second only to UCONN. In the West, it's my girls from OU all the way baby! If Stanford gets by Colorado, I don't think they have the backcourt quickness to handle OU. I did pick an upset with Mississipi State over Texas Tech in the second round - - I sure hope I'm wrong, but LaToya Thomas can beat you all by herself if you're not ready! C'mon Lady Raiders, don't let this happen!!!

Every time I see Thomas' name, I think about how she almost single-handedly kept her team in the game against ISU in the CvC tournament. Then I remember that I'm confusing her for someone else. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif Thomas scored 10 on 5-15 shooting against ISU. The player I confuse her with was Lenae Williams of DePaul in the first round game against ISU. Iowa State won that game 79-75, but Williams scored 41 points on 15-29 shooting (8-17 threes). She was hitting shots most people wouldn't dare try.
I'm sure Coach Bill was READY for LaToya Thomas... he is certainly no dummy! But Thomas is an OUTSTANDING player!

She played a lot better in the first round game against Maryland, scoring 29. However, I was too much in awe watching the ugliest WBB game I have ever seen to notice how well she played. The 71-61 final score is misleading: at one point, we were trying to determine if either team would hit 50.
Granted, I get to watch a lot of quality basketball in the Big XII. Perhaps if I were a fan of Rutgers and watched classics such as Villanova 49, Rutgers 43 and Rutgers 44, Virginia Tech 43 (actual scores from this season) I would be more used to such low-scoring games.

I have UT upsetting Duke. Now if this actually happens it'd be BU vs UT with a trip to the final four on the line. Hey, at least we'd be GUARANTEED a final four berth in that instance.

Not Lambert and Crockrum AGAIN?! http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/eek.gif
p.s. Personally, I don't think we can handle Duke with Beard, Tillis, Curry, Whitley, Moesch. They have ALL the tools!

I think it's Baylor that will take Duke down, and I think Iowa State takes down Tennessee and Vanderbilt goes to the Alamo....hmmmm, I, too, have Minnesota knocking North Carolina's host seed in the dirt.
I have Purdue toppling the Wildcats in Milwaukee. No Elite 8 for Stanford, but they do get to travel to Boise for a game.
How many did the Big XII have in the Sweet Sixteen last year, 5?
I have 4 making it to the Elite 8.....
and the champ..........
