Sophia Young (Baylor) was named Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week while Courtney Paris (Oklahoma) was selected Phillips 66 Big 12 Rookie of the Week by a * *media voting panel for games played from Feb 6-12.

Courtney sets a new record for most rookie awards, and extends her record for the most overall weekly player awards. And we have three more of those awards to come!

I can see Sophia getting the POW award, she had a career high in points and was pretty much unstoppable yesterday.

Do you realize how much it costs to bribe a person in the media? They don't come cheap. I figured I'd bunch up all her awards at the end of the year so everyone would be thinking about her when POY was decided ;)
