Jaw-dropping

That's how I would describe checking on the Kansas - Weber State score from yesterday and seeing that Weber State defeated KU in Lawrence. This is a Weber State team that has been thumped by Oklahoma State, Nebraska, and Minnesota.

I can understand a program going through peaks and valleys over several years. But the bottom has simply dropped-out for the Jayhawks and they are in freefall. What's happened? How can they go to the NCAA Tourney in 2000 and be this bad a year and a half later? Texas A&M at Kansas on January 5th may go a long way to determine who stays out of the cellar of the Big 12.

I thought the same thing when I saw that score. What's going on in Lawrence? Can't help but wonder how much longer Marion Washington will be coaching.

I got to see about 3/4 of the game on TV. It was on here in Kansas. It was ugly. If any new fans of women's basketball saw that game I doubt that we gained much new respect. As to Marion Washington's future I don't know. I hear she is not in any danger but the new AD at Kansas is not a guy I would count on for support if you continue to lose.
