Pick'em results through Session 9

Just about an hour ago, I was absolutely dreading the prospect of delivering the results tonight. Then the Huskers played much better than what it took to simply win, Missouri rallied on the road to beat major rival KSU in Manhattan in OT, and Colorado grabbed their first road win in many moons to put them in a position to challenge to get out of 11th place in the conference.

It's certainly been an unusual and most unexpected season so far, and we are just into the second half of the conference season.

More surprises are surely on the horizon.

Not one single Scooper got all five conference games right, but four of them used the opportunity of the bonus win of LSU over Baylor to climb to unblemished 5-0 records for this session.

Pretty soon, they won't have that opportunity anymore. The session leaders were TexasLR, Dale8R, Cyclones Rule, and carolann. Some of those folks are pretty familiar in this rarified territory.

Yours truly was one of only 23 people to get 4 of 5 picks right, even including the bonus. Such are the travails of playing in a downright dangerous conference. My first three picks of the sessions ended up with only a win for the pretty much predetermined gimme for OU, but the amazing results tonight boosted me into that group of 23. For the first time in weeks, I actually gained on someone.

AGAIN, GunsUp! leads all contestants, but the race seems to be heating up. Even though now the only contender within one game of the lead is the surprising 05Longhorn; TXSNOS, TexasLR, and Jennifer are just 2 games back; wacokid, swok34, spooky and Cyclones Rule are 3 back; and 6 more are 4 back with 8 more sessions to play.

This race is hardly near to over. Keep playing and fighting, and you might just get to the top right in time.

Please at least state something like "I pick LSU over Baylor" if you are going to post a single pick in a session post.

YCN, when do we start dropping sessions?Since there are 17 sessions, we drop one at Session 15, two at Session 16, and the three worst at Session 17, the last picking session of the season

The reason why I don't subtract sessions earlier is that until we get more than 14 sessions, you cannot do any better on wins - which are the key winning factor - until you get through Session 15, at a minimum.

The best 14 sessions is the key.

I'm sorry about that. I thought about editing the original post to add my new picks, but then I decided that that could open to possibility that I had also edited an incorrect pick after the game, so I decided against it. If I do that again, I will make sure to at least allude to the previous post in my list tho.
