I started my pre-game warm ups by re-watching the FF matchup between LSU and Baylor last night.

I know, they're 2 completely different teams. But it still worked to get the juices flowing . ;)

I'll wear my national championship polo shirt to work and leave at 3 p.m., so as to be home in time for tip-off (and tape the game, too).

I'll be there......

great article:

But Mulkey-Robertson has what LSU has come tantalizing close to the last two years with semifinal losses in consecutive Final Fours.

"It was a great feeling," she said. "It was something that will be a part of you for a long time. But if you spend all of today thinking about what you did yesterday, you haven't done much today."

Dang it. Just found out today that tomorrow's gonna be a late day at work. The good news is the TV will be on the game most likely - the bad news is I'll just be able to check in off and on, but probably won't be able to avoid it completely. So there's no chance of being blissfully ignorant until I get home to watch the replay.

I'll let you chat room folks pull it through for me.

My computer is still down at home so I won't be able to chat. I will be very busy however yelling at the TV. Hope SWMNBN will not be on board tonight. I too will be leaving work early to get home in time to prepare for the game.

Looks like your wish is granted! I do so enjoy having former players like Lobo and Lawson on these broadcasts. They know the game and the personnel.

I post this here only because it relates to our chat: I called the Baylor ticket office today and had no troubles getting tickets for the Big 12 tourney. I'll see everyone there!

can you call Austin and see if they have a spare cheerleader skirt? I think we may need it :pYes, but first I need to know Chipper's size.

Now I have TWO things to cheer for at the Nebraska game!

Jimi

Yes, but first I need to know Chipper's size.
Chipper is small enough to fit in anywhere and big enough to defend himself when he gets there. :D

Maybe slightly more helpful that burnt orange shirt I offered to share would be to big for him because it fits around me. He would look a little like an island dweller in it. We are about the same height iirc, but he is WAY more trim. He will look good in that skirt.

{ho boy, we have done it now}

Oh, i'll bring the burnt orange skirt, kids. I wouldn't have it any other way...

It's a good thing y'all don't know what I look like. :D

Has anybody else seen that Tommy Lee Jones movie, "Man of the House"?

Let's just say the "Cedric the Entertainer" part would be covered ...

01-31-2006, 09:59 PM
Anyone taken a look at exactly what Chipper said would happen??

That's why I say.....buy the skirt; gotta get the Vince Young jersey while you are at it as well.

JohnHenry

Well, truth be told...HE stuck his neck out by declaring he was "all in" that the Huskers would win their next four (ISU, @KSU, @Baylor , A&M). I raised him a scarlet tutu at the Hyatt Lounge, he upped it to a burnt orange skirt and a stirring rendition of Texas Fight, and I raised him again - to doing the whole thing on the bar in front of the grande windows (which would likely stop traffic on the R. L.Thornton if he's workin' it).

Alas, Chipper realized he was putting perhaps his whole career as a media mogul in the hands of Connie Yori and Kiera Hardy, and he folded. Too bad...i'd have given him 3-1 for the same stakes (4-0 was a sucker bet and i'm not a heartless man, y'know)....but he went overboard....

GO BIG RED!!!! :NU:

John Henry - you are a KIND KIND man!

ChipperF1

Now JohnDeLay is spreading some massive disinformation.

"Alas, Chipper realized he was putting perhaps his whole career as a media mogul in the hands of Connie Yori and Kiera Hardy, and he folded.

I have done no such thing! Nebraska will win the next 4 games, and if my lasses don't come through I will perform that infernal fight song with that ridiculous hand sign included. Now I draw that line out of the performance being in plain public sight!

I can think of no group of kids I'd rather put my faith in than Kiera Hardy and the Real Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Kelsey Griffin.

After Nebraska wins those 4 games, JeanHenri, you will look so good in Crimson and Cream. And you will sing Boomer Sooner with the crackling falsetto of a Texan shamed. Afterwards you will say the following.

I, as a citizen of Texas do solemnly declare the superiority of the University of Oklahoma over the University of Texas. And I affirm that the superiority of Oklahoma over Texas is divinely ordained by God himself. BOOMER SOONER. LONG LIVE OKLAHOMA!!!!

Jimi

GO Chipper!

But K-State will still do its best to see that you lose your bet. HOWEVER, first the Wildcats will worry about the Tigers. THEN the red infidels of the north. ;)

Jimi
02-01-2006, 10:41 AM
Just to sweeten the pot Chipper, if you win your bet with JH I will snag you tickets for the Belville Midget Nationals. You can stay at our house. We are about an hour from the track. That way if you win the bet I will have extra motivation to get my hind end to the Nationals.

SO? You can't get tickets to the Big12 tourney? Who cares! Chipper in a burnt orange skirt or John Henry in a red tutu , no one could ask for more! Dallas here we come!

JohnHenry, you found that skirt yet? We'll be needing it.
