Don't pay an attention to the attendance figures at the Big 12 site, because they say they are through the 1/25 games, and they aren't, at least they weren't earlier today when I checked.
All my attendance figures matched with theirs except for Missouri. Missouri hosted a tournament for which they didn't publish the attendance for one session, but I found the attendance for the game at the site of one of the teams that was present for the tournament.
I'll eventually inquire of the Big 12 as to where their attendance figures came from, but I think my figures are as good as theirs for now.

Color me a bit disappointed and confused about the attendance in the Big 12 this year. I worry that we might lose our overall attendance leadership, or attendance per game this year. We aren't attracting turnstile proportionate to the quality of play in the conference this year. I've predicted that we would blow up the per game attendance record, but probably fall short on overall attendance, but right now we aren't challenging either.
Attendance may pick up significantly in the next few weeks, so I'm not overly concerned. But it doesn't look all that good right now. It may be that the Big 12 schools are taking on more challenging non-conference schedules with fewer home games (except KU), or that a disproportionate number of the better games are during the mid-week period, but they aren't where they should be right now.
Here's the nitty-gritty report, broken into two parts. I issue these whenever I feel like it, or have the time to get the attendance figures up to date.
