Erin Grant established a new Big !2 assist record tonight to surpass Stacy Dales' 764 with 771 and counting!

With 10 games still left in the Big12 regular schedule, Erin's going to set a bar that will likely stand a long, long time

Great news for Erin, maybe now she can start getting the attention she deserves from the national press. Of course she's one of my favorite players...

Other than FT and 3-point shooting, could this be the only Big 12 record that C. Paris will not eventually shatter?

I've watched Erin play since the 9th grade -- she's such a warrior! Congratulations!

Nice to see her name in the record books - and it may be there for a long time.

After a few years in the pros, I wonder if she will look like a junior high kid.

A quote from Erin

"It feels good to break the record, especially since Stacey Dales set it," Grant said. "I watched her play, and I know how great a player she is. I'm glad to get it done, and I thank my teammates for putting the ball in the basket when I get it to them

Congratulations to Erin. If she winds up in Minnesota giving assists to Nicole Ohlde it won't hurt my feelings at all.

Also that's a nice quote from Erin regarding her teamates. My favorite all time "I'd like to thank my teammates" quote still is from Stacy Stephens though. Upon earning a rebounding record she said with tounge firmly planted in cheek "I'd like to thank my teammates for missing all those shots". How can you not love a kid like that? :UT:

I don't know about junior high, but I have always thought she had a young face. When a person gets older, that is certainly not a bad thing :D

Congratulations to Erin. She had to pass some impressive players to reach number 1.
