Are we in for a shoot out?
I think we are. It looks like both teams have the ability to exploit the weaknesses of the other.

Isn't that a travel when you roll on the floor? No matter, it still resulted in a turnover. This could be a game of who makes the fewest mistakes.

I have to give credit where credit is due. I've been on the big 12 ref's backs alot this year. In this tourney, they are assuming women can play! It's not that officiating is pro one team over another; it's that it has sometimes destroyed the tempo of games. They haven't done that in the tourney from each game I've seen.
Vickie, do you suppose that if OU meets UConn in the Final Four, that we have half a chance of NOT having 26 fouls?

If there are 26 fouls in the final four for ANY game, then those officials and the people who hired them need to be fired immediately! Calling 26 fouls in the final four would really sell women's hoops, wouldn't it?!?
Compare that game to tonight's semifinal, when OU played a game where KSU didn't get to the free throw line in the entire game.
Was Sherri trying to make a statement here?

it actually depends if we have the boneheaded referee that has called all three of OU's losses (and has called no other OU game)..
if he's there, there will be at least 1 technical called and 47 fouls......thanks to soonerborn's research for identifying this.
Scott "Yardbird" Yarborough......love soonerborn's nickname.. http://hoopscoop.net/ubb/smile.gif
And, referee's typically let the players play a little more physical in the NCAA's and in the conference tournaments.

There hasn't been a Yarborough citing in K.C. thank goodness. The refs have really let the girls play this week. And it has made the games so much more enjoyable to watch.
Lambert came close to getting a technical in the game against ISU. But for the most part, I think everyone is pleased with the officiating.
