I don't know if it was intentional after our TTU-BU discussion thread ;), but you left off Baylor.

No...wasn't intentional. Last week I managed to delete OU...so at least Baylor is there...just not highlighted. Sorry about that.
Texas is ranked #8 in the RPI and has played the toughest schedule in the country. They unranked with one point in the coaches' poll, 9 in the AP poll. Their record is 8-6.
Boston College is ranked #36 in the RPI and has played the #32 schedule. They are ranked #21 in the coaches' poll with 122 points, and #22 in the AP poll with 154 points. Their record is 12-5.
If you subtract from Texas' record the "gimme" wins over 113 Stephen F. Austin and 277 Sam Houston State, their record stands at 6-6 against top 100 teams, with 2 of 6 losses at home.
If you subtract the gimmes from BC's record: 185 Drexel, 130 Richmond, 161 Vermont, at 151 New Hampshire, 179 Holy Cross, 225 Massachusetts, at 203 Qunnipiac, 315 Niagara, 306 Colgate; then BC's record against top 100 teams stands at 3-5, with 3 of 5 losses at home.
So that's the background for Texas getting a total of 10 voting points, compared to 276 for BC.
And if anyone wonders why I hate the polls for the way they are irrationally constructed, well there you are.

I know it wasn't intentional. Just a little ribbing after our discussion.

What exactly do the blessed Tigers need to do? Beat the national champions? Oops, no, that won't do it. If there are half a dozen places in the NATION to win on the road than in Austin, I'm the Easter Bunny. But you lose by less than a half dozen points at Texas and Mizzou is back on the "ignore" list.
Maybe if the state's major newspapers didn't put news of our win over the national champions and a 12 game win streak on page eight behind high school wrestling, figure skating, and the forecast for Islamibad, there might be awareness that there's a team in Columbia, besides Quin's team that can't beat Sam Houston State.
Of course, given an administration at the school whose idea of promoting the games is to make the assistant coaches pass out free tickets in the dining hall ("After all, they ain't worth anything, might as well give away a few hundred, maybe you little dollies can draw 2 whole thousand people, har har har")
Bitter? Me?

Daddo.....
mostly you need to keep winning. Texas Tech didn't make it back into the mix with it's win over Baylor either.

An entertaining column about the AP Top 25 voting panel. What happens if you forget Tennessee? :oo
