Texas Tech at Oklahoma - what the hell :ttu:
While OU should win this game, I'm not going to start picking against my Lady Raiders now...they need all the good vibes they can get.
Texas at Nebraska - :ut:
Texas is starting to find some flow and I think Nina, Tiffany and Erikc will just be too tough for Nebraska to handle
Texas A&M at Baylor :bu:
Baylor should win this, but A&M might make it interesting. Here's your chance Bears to join the 20 Turnover Club
Kansas State at Oklahoma State :ksu:
The Cat are also starting to find some flow, while the Cowgirls looked much better on Saturday, I don't think they have the firepower to stay with KSU.
Colorado at Missouri :mu:
Mizzou has played tough at home this season...don't think CU can pull this one off.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma: I think OU has figured it out.
Texas at Nebraska: I don't like picking against a decent home team, but I was disappointed by what the posters on this board indicated was a lack of enthusiasm by the Huskers.
Texas A&M at Baylor: I still think that Baylor is the team to beat.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State: It is a long road back. I was impressed with the OSU building blocks.
Colorado at Missouri: Home team is pretty good.

This is a tough round for me.
Texas Tech at Oklahoma - Oklahoma
Tech is as close as anyone in the conference to having the pieces to beat OU but one home win over Baylor isn't enough to make me think Tech will get the win over Paris and the Sooners on the road.
Texas at Nebraska - Texas
Yes, I'm a homer. I don't think I've picked against the Longhorns more than a couple of times in the past few years. The Longhorns got a big win over ISU at home in a game that was never close after the last few minutes of the first half. That was one step. The Longhorns worked hard and came back for a defensive win over a more experienced and much more athletic (relative to ISU) Missouri team. That was step two. Now the Longhorns have to try to get a road win. I'm going to take encouragement from Chipper's inditement of the Huskers as soft inside. If that is true, the Longhorns inside game may be good enough with Tiffany, Aubry Cook, and Ashley Lindsay. Nina Norman and Tiffany Jackson have to play with heroic intensity and try to keep the rest of the team focused and within the game plan.
Texas A&M at Baylor - Baylor
The Aggies are intriguing. I'm looking forward to seeing them play but not against the Longhorns. I'll still pick Baylor at home.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State - Kansas State
I don't think Budke's plan of running off a lot of OSU players and recruits and bringing in junior college players was a good one but OSU might be able to disrupt Kansas State enough to make this a game.
Colorado at Missouri - Missouri
Missouri is a better team this year and the Tigers are at home.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma
Tech has me worried, though. Tech has to have gained confidence. This could come down to the battle of Plainview
Texas at Nebraska
Home team, and if the Huskers don't do it here, they can pretty much write off the season.
Texas A&M at Baylor
Home team again; I don't think the Baylor guards are great, but I think they can handle the Aggie press, and the more A&M presses, the more open floor opportunities they leave for Sophia!
Kansas State at Oklahoma State
Only road win this time out. Pegram could do some damage, but Kansas State has to do it here, or they too can write the season off.
Colorado at Missouri
Home team, best team.

Texas- Still putten the peices together, but I think they can pull it off.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma: Oklahoma defends Mr. Noble's house.
Texas at Nebraska: I really really really want to pick Nebraska for this game, but rationally I think the eyes of Texas will be upon them.
Texas A&M at Baylor: Baylor gets back on track.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State: Easiest two-game winning streak for Kansas State all year (besides the St. Peters tournament).
Colorado at Missouri: Easiest game for Missouri until Valentines day, so they'd better win it.

Texas Tech at Oklahoma - It's at home, the Sooners prevail. Tech just picked up a big win, at home. The Lady Raiders haven't found friendly on the road this season. Before Christmas, OU played better on the road. They've really only had Colorado in the house since. But I like how they played at Ohio since our 3-0 consists of three of the lower echelon; not sure I'd call playing in Ames, Iowa lower echeleon; but it's hard to gauge when no other south teams have ventured there. Do we get zoned again? Probably; that's ok, they've learned to play against zone, when back before Christmas, it baffled 'em. Courtney's learned what to do when the lane gets packed against her :OU:
Texas at Nebraska - I don't know, Texas hasn't yet shown they are road worthy, but I just don't know if Nebraska can protect home court just yet. Now, saying that....it will probably be a double OT doozy.
Texas A&M at Baylor - Home. This will be a very interesting game; sure wish they would have televised this one. I'd buy the Baylorvision for OU and catch this game as well, but I'll be at the LNC rooting for CP3 and the Sooners. The way Gary's bunch can make you scrap for anything and with the young 'uns that the Bears have to put on the floor. Sure will be a good one to watch.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State - This game, I have absolutely no idea. If OSU learns to play with all its pieces together at the same time, the will be a challenge. But, I've seen with this OU team, the one that brings the larger identity of "team".......usually victors in the end. Now, don't let me down, new purple people eater girls; you have a new tradition to carry forward.
Colorado at Missouri - ah, back to the winning ways the Tigers say.

Oklahoma- Tech looked really good against Baylor. One of the more telling statistics was rebounds. I don't think Tech can out rebound us like they have in the past.
Nebraska-I think they will step up like they did for Baylor last year. The Texas freshmen have not played well on the road.
Baylor-They will be mad at being 2-2 in the conference.
Oklahoma State-They really need this one.
Missouri-They had the Texas game won but went home early. One point in the last 10 minutes or so. They will come to play at home.

:TTU: I'm with you Bball girl. I have stuck with my Lady Raiders all year and I'm not going to give up on them now. I do agree with Marsha, though. I do think OU is the best team in the conference right now.
:UT: I think the penny has dropped, and the horns are on their way.
:BU: I love the way the Aggies play, but I wouldn't want to be the team facing the bears this week.
:KSU: This is a tough one. OSU has a real chance to win this one, but KSU has that winning experience.
:MU: MU is really tough at home. I wish we had them here this year.

OU beats Tech- OU is getting it together, coach and players together on same page.
Nebraska wins at home over TX- I am one of those fans who loses money always betting on my team.
I am looking for a leader on this team, I don't see one. I also see a disconnect between players and coach the last two games. Who is the leader? Kiera, doesn't act like a leader, times get tough she evaporates. Chelsea? tried to take control of the Missouri game late, coach put her on the bench. Toya? is trying.
Others? Who wants it? Sometimes you have to get real mad and take it from the coach and other players alike!!!! No one gives you a leadership role, you take it! Whew, go win a game!! ;)
Baylor wins over A&M- will be a good game
KSU barely beats OSU- Pegram and Coggins exchange pleasantries and come out swinging.
Missouri kills CU- nothing to add

Texas Tech at Oklahoma......Texas Tech brought a heavy dose of LaToya Davis and staunch defense to beat Baylor. Oklahoma's offense was firing on all cylinders against Oklahoma State, but lets be real its Oklahoma State.
I like Texas Tech slugging one out IF LaToya Davis can handle Courtney Paris. I think she can win that matchup and TTU can get to work in the perimeter were Oklahoma is vulnerable.
Texas Tech 63, Oklahoma 58
Texas at Miss Yori's Finishing School....Texas is on their marks and will win the game. The question will be, will Nebraska come to compete? If Nebraska can keep this within 10-15 points and compete well, they'll recover from this and move forward. If Nebraska gets destroyed, you can count them out this season.
Texas 76, Nebraska 62
Texas A&M at Baylor.......TAMU will give this ride, if they can rebound. Baylor is the better team, but some weaknesses (rebounding and perimeter defense) will make this game close.
Baylor 73, Texas A&M 69
Kansas State at Oklahoma State.....I got to see OSU against Oklahoma. They have a team good enough to finish 11th, even with some talented players. The problem is from a fundamental and chemistry standpoint, OSU is a gestalt, not a team. Kansas State is a team and cohesive and they'll win a game that will be competitive early, but end up as a solid margin.
Kansas State 70, Oklahoma State 55
Colorado at Missouri.....Colorado is outmanned, outgunned and Missouri will beat them up.
Missouri 75, Colorado 54

Texas Tech at Oklahoma-Not at home Sherri stakes her claim even further on the possibility of a Big 12 title. OU.
Texas at Nebraska-Texas needs to learn how to play on the road this could or couldn't be the one. I think Jody and the girls start getting it going. UT.
Texas A&M at Baylor-GB is a coach(McGowen is freaking going to be scary with all the other talent they will have around her!! South is going to be NAZTY in next few years.) But the present is what it is about. A&M has the depth to make this a ballgame. In a shocker at home the Aggies pull it out! A&M.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State-OSU usually gets an upset at home each year(it will happen just not sure when this year). It doesn't in this one however. KSU has the guard play-KSU.
Colorado at Missouri-Seemed against KU that CU had started to gel. But then a string of home games. MU wins but CU is going to compete.
I am so far out of this pick 'em contest its not funny but you live once!

Sometimes you just gotta say, what the hell....and honestly, I like some of the surprises and parity we've seen. Let's have some more, eh?
Texas Tech at Oklahoma - I have to agree w/ Chipper here. Tech just needed a happy ending in one of it's toughies to get it rolling, and OU has struggled against teams who have the speed and skills to defend them tightly. Perhaps CPs stiffest test thus far, as Tech has the interior players w/ the size and defensive skills to contain her (not stop her, just contain her. OU's perimeter gets rattled against good D. The wild card here is Leah Rush. This is where Tech will miss Dabbs the most. Robertson may be up for the job, but if Tech's posts have to follow Rush outside, lookout... LRs in another close one.
Texas at Nebraska - Unless we see a repeat of The Great Lawrence Giveaway, the Horns should roll. Too much depth and speed, and now they're feeling good. Huskers will need everything they can muster from Griffin, Hardy, and Aubrey - but they haven't been getting it, and with Jackson and Norman now on a mission (or so it seems), this won't be the big break Nebraska needs.
Texas A&M at Baylor - call me crazy...and i'll probably lose this one, but it's a decent chance to pick up a game in the pick'em standings on...well, on everyone, apparently. No, the Ags don't have enough inside presence (and experience) to contend with Young and Wabara - but they didn't have it against Kemp, either, and they still beat KU going away - and on the road. The pressure here is all on the Lady Bears, and they had best not walk into the Ferrell Center tonight thinking they're gonna coast. Aggies have guards and wings with the skills to pay the bills; defensively they can rattle your cage and they are especially adept at causing turnovers and converting them. Baylor's offensive struggles continued against Tech, and they won't be catching a break here to get their mojo back. Micheaux is a frosh but is a serviceable power forward who can run with Baylor's interior, but outside of her A&M doesn't have a lot of useful size. It may not matter. Young could have a monster game and the Bears could still be sweating this one in the last 5 minutes. Turnovers and rebounding will tell the tale here....i'll go with A&M in an upset, serving notice that they're a legit contender.
Kansas State at Oklahoma State - good chance for a Steal in Stillwater by the Cowgirls, but K-State has ramped it up after their last road embarassment, and have the better backcourt talent in this matchup. I fully expect Pegram and Co. to make this one somewhat respectable, though, and it's not utterly unwinnable if some things go their way.
Colorado at Missouri - i'm not quite ready to write off the Buffs to the 12 spot yet, mainly because I haven't seen them play, and the nifty win over Kansas gave me pause. Still, on the road, against a legitimate contender with plenty of speed and a tough woman-to-woman defense, they're probably in over their heads. Brooks and Bond and Savant run wild and get their motor running again.
