This article is ESPN giving "awards" for the year. We got the nod for best conference, and Koehn got "rookie of the year", but beyond that, I thought the Big 12 got a little snubbed.

They gave best fans to the NM Lobos. Obviously, I'm biased toward Iowa State here....but I think this should have easily gone to KSU for their string of sell-outs! Sure couldn't argue with picking Texas Tech for that matter, either.

Their list of "best games" included Texas over TN, but the only other Big 12 games was KSU's upset of ISU in Ames. That game was not as close as the final score looked, and I can think of a lot better games than that to represent the Big 12.

Lastly, Mandy Nightengale gets mentioned in the most "underrated" category, but I think the fact the Ms. Lambert is mentioned nowhere in the article indicates that she should win that award! If she played in the SEC, she would be national player of the year material.

That's my rant, for what it is worth.

I tend to agree. It is really hard in this conference, a conference of players like Dales, Welle, Lambert, Ohlde, Crockrom, Stevens, Nightingale, Wecker, Gahan, Wilson, (and Koehn, and Caufield, and ...) ...

I mean GOOD GRIEF! How are we supposed to make these decisions!
