wow......I just checked the score.
Missouri is up 29-6 with a little over 4 left to the half.
Must be approaching 10% by now.
29-6 in favor of Mizzou
Pretty impressive start for Mizzou, however. 29-5? Wow, didn't see that coming!

Major ugly right now. A couple years ago they had a half like this in Colorado. Weren't able to recover that game hope at least they can make this one respectable before its over. I'm not surprised to see Missouri play the way they are right now. They are riding a high and think they are invincible. Just heard them say they are shooting 12% I think in Colorado that year they shot 18%.
29-6 at 2:43 left in the half. Kansas state has more fouls, more turnovers, and more time outs than made shots. They are 3-24 now 12.5%.
Mizzou is at about 48%
Now 32-6 MU
Now 32-9 Twiggy hit a three.
We have a new school record! Fewest points in a half in a B-12 game. the previous low was in that game at Colorado 12.
Halftime 35-11 KSU is now 5-30, 16.1%
MU now up to 6 team fouls for the game
Bond has two fouls
Lehning an Hamlin have 3 fouls
KSU has 15 turnovers
40-16 MU at 15:45
Btw according to the KSU broadcast team a jump ball was called while a KSU player was dribbling down the floor. He did not complain but said, "I don't think I ever seen that before." I wonder what happened on the play.
Another layup miss by Kansas State.
Score is now 51-20 MU at 11:20 left
Latoya Bond is close to matching KSU's score by her self.
Coggins is 0-11.
KSU high scorer has 6
It a little late but time for a rally!
63-31 MU at 4:24
Bond has 20 points.
KSU is up to 20%
The Wildcats will drop to 5 and 1 on the road this year.
Misouri is playing very very well.

I'm watching Tennessee/UConn (and Arizona and USC) but dipped over to check on this game. Could not believe the score at the half or now. I expected Mizzou to win but not like this.
Is Mizzou playing good defense?
Deb, take my advice. Burn the tape and prepare for the next game.
It's a long season...
Final 68-42 Tigers
Yes according to the KSU announcers MU was strong on defense. It also sounded like the Wilcats were pretty tight. Gritty lil Twiggy was our high scorer with 12.
KSU had 22 turnovers.
Deb, take my advice. Burn the tape and prepare for the next game.
It's a long season...
Speaking of that next game its AT Texas A & M.
Congrats to Missouri! They earned the win with all around sound play.

Here is a quote from the Manhattan paper about Missouri and Stein before the game:
Rise and shine.
Missouri coach Cindy Stein figured the media that cover Big 12 women's basketball were asleep at the wheel. The Tigers were picked to finish 10th in the conference race, but she felt her team deserved better.
Sure, the Tigers finished the season with a record of 11-18, 4-12 in the Big 12, for ninth place in the conference, but MU returned 91 percent of its scoring from the previous year, to go with 88 percent of its rebounding, 93 percent of its steals and 76 percent of its blocks.
Stein had just the thing to wake them up.
Prior to Stein taking the stage to answer questions at the conference media day back in October, MU assistant sports information director Kevin Fletcher distributed packages of coffee from a Columbia, Mo., coffee shop to reporters. The Brand? R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
"The whole idea around the coffee thing is after we got those preseason polls, we figured we needed to wake you all up," Stein told reporters.
It would appear at the very least she has gotten the attention of a couple schools!!!

"It felt really good,” MU junior EeTisha Riddle said. “That’s the first thing that came out of my mouth in the locker room: I remember we were on national TV losing by 45 points my freshman year (to K-State). It felt good to beat somebody who’s beaten you year in and year out.”

I didn't realize that Kansas State had beaten Missouri the last 9 times the programs have met.
